ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Counselor. Educator. Ministry leader.
Dr. Deborah is the founder of Yew House, a spiritual formation, pastoral care, and educational ministry dedicated to helping people deepen their relationship with God while growing in spiritual and emotional maturity.
Her work sits at the intersection of spiritual formation, theology, psychology, and emotional well-being. She is committed to creating spaces where truth and grace meet. This is where people can wrestle honestly with their experiences, deepen their understanding of God and themselves, and receive care that is both biblically grounded and compassionate.
Dr. Deborah holds doctoral degrees in Professional Counseling (PhD) and Ministry (DMin). Her interdisciplinary training allows her to thoughtfully integrate psychological knowledge, theological understanding, and spiritual formation while maintaining a clear commitment to biblical truth.
With decades of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, ministry leader, and educator, Dr. Deborah brings to Yew House more than academic training. Her approach has been shaped by years of walking alongside people through healing and growth, teaching and equipping others, and serving in Christian ministry. She brings a mature understanding of both the complexity of the human experience and the transforming work of God.
Her Heart for Yew House
Yew House was born from a desire to see believers become deeply grounded rather than simply inspired.
Dr. Deborah believes that spiritual maturity requires intentional formation; that emotional and spiritual health are interconnected; that biblical truth provides an essential foundation for understanding who we are and how we live; and that the Holy Spirit remains active and present in the believer’s journey of healing, growth, and transformation.
Her vision for Yew House is long-term: to cultivate resilient, Christ-centered people who continue to mature, live from a secure identity in Christ, and bear lasting fruit in their families, churches, workplaces, and communities.
Not simply inspired, but growing.
Not simply informed, but transformed.
Becoming increasingly more like Christ.
